NPFL : We Will Never Drop Points At Home - Dakkada International Chairman

The Chairman of the 2019 Nigeria Second League Division Champions, Coach Aniedi Dickson says after suffering two home losses in the Nigeria professional football league 2019/2020 season, they vowed never to drop a point at the Godswill Akpabio International stadium.


Dickson, who spoke exclusively to Ibom Chronicle hinted that it was painful to both the technical crew, Management and the players of Dakkada International FC to have gathered only 12 out of possible 18 points at the Godswill Akpabio International stadium.

"We have vowed never to lose any match in our home again. You know that it is painful to both the technical crew, management and the players that we losed to Kano pillars and to Akwa United because we know where six points could have taken us to by now.

"That is football for you. One plus one in football is not always two like in mathematics".


Furthermore, the club chairman thank the State Government for motivation given to the players before match day 12 which according to him made Dakkada International FC score four goals in a single match since gaining promotion to the elite division.

It will be recalled that the Commissioner of Youth and Sports, Sir Monday Ebong Uko, had given out 4.2 Million naira to the team for the match bonuses owed them prior to their encounter against Adamawa United.

Meanwhile Dakkada FC of Uyo had its best outing since the league started as they defeated struggling Adamawa United FC, 4-1.

In the match day 12  at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium Uyo, Moses Effiong opened scoring in the 1st minute while Eka Unegbe got the equaliser for Adamawa FC in the 11th minutes.

Dakkada FC enjoyed the support of the home fans took advantage of the porous defence of the visitors in the 17th minutes as Moses Effiong made it 2-1, thus putting the home side on the lead.

Dakkada which had several chances of increasing the the tally failed due to constant losing of the ball to the opponent in the midfield.

At the restart, Dakkada introduced Solomon Gozie, but it was Marcos Spencer who located Olufemi Ajayi in the 56th minutes as he headed in the third goal in favour of Dakaada for a 3-1 lead.

Effiong got a hatrick in the 67th minutes to make it 4-1 against Adamawa FC.


Shortly after the match, Chief Coach of Dakadda Fc Kingsley Lawrence said the 4-1 defeat of Adamawa was the biggest win ever achieved by Dakaada since the beginning of the season and that the technical crew was working on the players per match to improve on the finishing upfront.


On his part, the hero of the match, Mose Effiong dedicated his hat-trick to his teamates and prayed for more victories to Dakkada International.

Effiong has scored four goals for the team, same with Isaac George while Femi Ayayi has scored three goals.

Dakkada faces MFM at the Agege Stadium, Lagos on Wednesday this week.
