GOV. UMO ENO TO EMBARK ON RENOVATION OF SPECIAL SCHOOLS IN A'IBOM, PLEDGES CONTINUE PAYMENT OF SUBVENTION



The Akwa Ibom State governor, Pastor UMO ENO says special education sector in the state will soon receive a facelift from his administration.


Governor Eno, made the promise yesterday during a media interactions with the media community in Akwa Ibom State where he explained that the gesture will aid people with hearing impediment as well as those with sight impediment.


Responding on the stage of infrastructure in the special in Uyo, the governor explained that he will take a tour of the school to have a fair knowledge of what should be done in the school inline with the state government's arise agenda  which is aiming at providing infrastructure to encourage effective learning of every child of school age resident in Akwa Ibom State.



The governor maintained that his administration has invested well in the education sector of the state with the payment of subvention to school in the state and steady payment of backlog of gratuity, leave Grant and pension to retired teachers in the state.


It would be recalled that upon resumption of office, Governor UMO ENO embark on construction of model schools in the thirty one local government areas of Akwa Ibom State with Christ the king primary school being the pilot school in Uyo local government area.



On security, the governor encourage all residents of the state to inculcate a habit of exposing suspected persons in their neighborhood as the fight for a peaceful Akwa Ibom State is not for the government and security agencies alone.


In his speech, the state council chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Comrade Amos ETUk, applauded the media robust relationship with governor UMO ENO' administration and sue for more partnership with journalists in the state to keep Akwa Ibomite both at home and in the diaspora informed of what his government is doing to better the lots of the citizens.
